Welcome to Vibe Quest. By accessing or using this website you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Vibe Quest Is

Vibe Quest is a free, AI-powered choose-your-own-adventure game. All story text and scene artwork are generated in real time by third-party artificial intelligence services (OpenAI GPT-4o and Replicate Flux Schnell). The game is provided for personal entertainment only.

2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• All narrative text, character dialogue, world descriptions, and artwork are produced by AI and are entirely fictional.
• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unexpected. It should never be relied upon as factual information.
• The game operator does not review, curate, or endorse any specific AI output.
• Generated content may occasionally reflect biases or limitations inherent in AI language models. We have no control over the underlying model outputs beyond the system prompts we provide.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Vibe Quest to:

• Generate content that is illegal under applicable law.
• Attempt to elicit harmful, abusive, threatening, or hateful content.
• Harass, bully, or target real individuals.
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass content filters or rating systems.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or misuse any API keys, server configuration, or proprietary logic.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers against the service.

4. Content Ratings & Parental Responsibility

Vibe Quest allows users to select a content rating at the start of each quest. Higher ratings may result in more mature thematic content. It is the user's sole responsibility — and the responsibility of parents or guardians for minor users — to select an appropriate content rating. The service is not intended for users under 13 years of age.

5. Intellectual Property

• Your input — character names, descriptions, and prompts you type remain yours. You grant Vibe Quest a limited, non-exclusive licence to transmit your inputs to third-party AI services solely for the purpose of generating game content.
• AI-generated output — the copyright status of AI-generated text and images is unsettled in many jurisdictions. Vibe Quest makes no claim of ownership over generated content. You may use generated content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Game code and assets — the Vibe Quest source code (excluding AI outputs and third-party libraries) is subject to copyright. Pixel art icons and sound effects generated for the game's UI may be used only in connection with the game.

6. Third-Party Services

Vibe Quest relies on the following third-party services. By using Vibe Quest, you also agree to their terms:

• OpenAI Terms of Use — governs AI story generation.
• Replicate Terms of Service — governs AI image generation.

7. No Warranty

Vibe Quest is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The game may be unavailable, slow, or produce unexpected results at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Vibe Quest operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or dissatisfaction with AI-generated content.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Vibe Quest after a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
